About Us

Tony's Old Time Portrait Studio was established in 1970. The idea was born when I saw a re-enactment of the early explorers in the Northern British Columbia at Fort Prince George. I started putting costumes together and photographing the people dressed as early pioneers.

Being from a theatrical family and working in theatres as a comedian and prop man, and setting up the stage. So, I put my experience to work and I set up a old time photography studio.

Now, 37 years later, I have a photography studio set up with 7 back drops. We even let people get married here, we dress them up as Victorian Bride and Groom. The preacher or Justice of the Peace dressed up as an old time preacher. We have a large inventory of expensive period costumes and our costumes have the luxury of viewing up to 12 or more proofs.

Thousands of visitors come to beautiful Victoria, British Columbia, Canada each year. Many repeat customers come each year to have their portraits taken. Some families have been coming for over 20 years. Everyone leaves happy!
